The Wrong Basis of the Ancient Past

The geologic time scale is a chronologic schema, that is, an idealized model, relating stratigraphy to time, which is used by geologists, paleontologists and other earth scientists to describe the timing and relationships between events that have occurred during the history of the Earth and based according to the rock types and sort of fossils found in each one. According to this theory and model, radiometric dating indicates that the Earth is about 4.570 billion years old. The geological or deep time (that is, unknown) of Earth's past has been organized into various units according to events that are assumed to have taken place in each period.

The Geologic Column

It is claimed that the Geologic Column in “historical geology” is the total successive series of assumed periods of time (geological ages) assigned to specific layers of sedimentary rock, based on position and fossil content; many periods and epochs are frequently missing from—or out of order in—local records, making the system unreliable and suspect in substantiating uniformitarianistic interpretation of the geological record.  Geologists qualify these units as Upper or Late, Middle, and Lower or Early. Examples are "Upper Jurassic" and "Middle Cambrian." Adjectives of depth, Upper and Lower, apply to the rocks themselves, as in "Upper Jurassic sandstone," while Late and Early apply to time, as in "deposition in the Early Jurassic" or "Early Jurassic climates." Middle, applies to both. The adjectives are capitalized when the subdivision is formally recognized, and lowercase when not; thus "early Miocene" but "Early Jurassic."  Under this system, we live in the Holocene Epoch, of the Quaternary Period, of the Cenozoic Era, of the Phanerozoic Eon, which began 11,477 years ago.
    Geologic time was an evolutionary belief long before any type of “so-called” proof became available. When that proof began to emerge, it was forced to be placed within the geological time by evolutionists who simply shouted down anyone who didn’t agree with them. As one famous quote of the period, which we have printed here a few times, clearly states: “Geologic time is better than the alternative”—the alternative being God created the Earth.
    We are dealing with godless men who pose as scientists, but demand mankind accept their absolutely absurd time frames, geological scale, etc., which time and again has been shown to be not only ridiculous to the common man, but extremely weak scientifically, and in almost all cases, indefensible; and
    Geologic time is based on a principle that has never actually been found to exist anywhere on the Earth in its entirety throughout the history of man—it is entirely a belief fostered by man and unprovable.
    Evolution itself is the belief that the heritable characteristics of biological populations over successive generations change—and drastically. It is claimed that these characteristics are the expressions of genes that are passed on from parent to offspring during reproduction.

Claimed human incremental changes over time

When most people hear the word “evolution,” they think in terms of what is called “divergent evolution,” which is the evolutionary pattern in which two species are claimed to gradually become increasingly different. This type of evolution often occurs, we are told, when closely related species diversify to new habitats.
    According to evolutionists, on a large scale, divergent evolution is claimed to be responsible for the creation of the current diversity of life on earth from the first living cells. On a smaller scale, they claim it is responsible for the evolution of humans and apes from a common primate ancestor.
    However, with the increase in genetic knowledge, it is increasingly obvious that such is not the case of effecting diverging changes. First, there is no example of any type of living species that has turned into something else or into two something elses. Evolutionists claim such happened in past eons of time, thus being able to side-step this issue but nothing in recorded history of verify such a tenet, but the fact is that throughout history, no species has changed into another species or even partly in any form.
    Even today, cross-breeding does not change the species. While there has been cross-breeding within a species, such as different breeds of dogs, or cats, or horses within a species—all the different breeds of dog, for example, are the same species. As an example, mating different breeds results in a hybrid, but two species, such as a dog and cat cannot breed. Thus, it seems very difficult to support, even in ancient eons, that one species created two different species, like a common ancestor between apes and man.
    Even so, when evolutionists tout their beliefs from the rooftop and shout down any disagreement. They can shout from the rooftops, but it does not make it correct. Only actual evidence can verify something scientifically, and the evolutionists who insist geologic time exists cannot do that in any way, shape, or form.

Every time a hole is shown to exist in their models, they then change their models, rather than accept they do not work. Most scientists today understand the “elephant in the corner” of this discussion, but are unwilling to do anything about it because their reputations, income, careers, and funding all depend upon their following the evolutionary propaganda and embracing the geologic time scale and all the rest of the erroneous matters that are involved. To claim science is on a higher ground in this issue is truly a ground that is difficult to maintain and few arguments beyond shouting one down can be mounted in its defense. If you are a member of the Church, then you are in a very small minority in this issue—if you are not, then you are in a majority that have no basis to maintain their stance other than the diatribe that has been fostered by evolutionists on a very unsuspecting public for far too many years now.
    In Darwin’s day, evolutionists could get away with all sorts of statements and ideas, since they were uncontestable with existing knowledge in that day; however, in our day, so much knowledge exists to make their arguments and tenets unfounded that they haven’t a leg to stand on.     Information abounds about scientists who have been stepping forward in recent years to fight against the long-time monopoly of ignorance evolution has fostered, which includes the Geologic Time scale. Truth may not work for most on this matter, but it certainly does for those who have studied the matter on their own.
    Yet, despite the well-informed leadership in geology realizing that catastrophism is evident everywhere, and among most field geologists of the concept of uniformitarian gradualism for deposited strata has been shown to be in error, there has been no adjustment in the dates applied to the geologic column.
    It would seem that strong forces exist demanding we hold on to the millions-of-years concept of geology in spite of the facts, in order to preserve the supposed time for evolution to occur. In order to preserve this, evolutional geologists hypothesize millions of years of non-activity between formations in order to preserve the evolutionary time schedule. There is no evidence supporting numerous hiatuses. One would think in even a thousand years there would be roots of worm burrows or stream erosion or clam tracks. Instead, most of the interfaces are sharply defined. Evolutionary geologists are saying essentially that no evidence means evidence for long period of time between formations.

All our “knowledge” of the prehistorical world is a series of beliefs, opinions and attitudes—we have no actual knowledge of anything prior to 4,000 years ago

Obviously there is no way of knowing what events actually took place or when prior to recorded history, which is about 4,000 years ago. One of the factors to keep in mind about science when they discuss events prior to about 6,000 years ago (period of Genesis) is that nobody can show their assumptions to be incorrect since there is no recorded history of any such events one way or the other—while at the same time, geologists and evolutionists cannot prove their beliefs to be correct.
    Nor should scientists try to claims that their view of the Earth’s age and history is as they believe. Nor does it follow from this that the majority view among scientists on some point is necessarily the truth. Once again, the point of this work is not to prove or disprove creationism or evolution, but to show the inaccuracies of science that scientists expect us to accept as factual and absolute—when in fact, they are not!
